It's been a while since the CubeBuilders website has had a refreshment.
I've spent many hours rebuilding the website. It's not 100% complete, it's still a work in progress, but it's finally reached a point where I can release the first version!
The first thing you'll notice, is the front page is now a clean design, with the server address at the bottom, making it easy for new players to join CubeBuilders. There are links on the right, which will be updated periodically with links to announcements and events.
The registration process has been simplified. We no longer use MCTopServers.com for login and registration. Instead, login and registration is all done on the CubeBuilders website. You'll need to find the sign next to CubeBuildersGirl in the lobby, and click on it to get a code, which you can then use to register or reset your password if you've forgotten it. Staff members will never ask you for the code! Accounts that were active on the website in the last 28 days were migrated from the old website to the new one.
The Offence System has been redesigned, too. We record each offence, just as we did before, and management of offences has been made easier. Muting in-game and on the forum now both are one type of punishment. In other words, if you get muted on one, you're also muted on the other, so be nice! Offence Appeals are now done outside the forum in a separate section on the website. The data from the old system will not be migrated to the new system, which means everyone will start out with a clean slate. This is a good chance for all those rule breakers to change out of their old ways, and another chance for players who were previously permanently banned, to return to CubeBuilders again.
Another significant change, which probably won't be noticed by everyone, is that the website is now available over HTTPS, and forces HTTPS. HTTPS stands for Hyper Text Transport Protocol Secure. This means all website activity is encrypted, and all staff moderation tools are now only available on HTTPS, which ensures any sensitive data of CubeBuilders and players is out of reach from cyber criminals.
Stay tuned for more exciting CubeBuilders updates!
P.S. I've left a neat little surprise that RP'ers are gonna love, go check it out!
