Im sure some of you have noticed but it looks like karma is just one number showing how many more applauds than smites you have. For example, I think I have +11/-7 so I have 4. If you hav +1/-3 you would have -2
And I just realized; its not applauds and smites anymore. Its likes and dislikes!

Thats a good explanation! Think of it like subtraction. If you have 4 Applauds and 2 Smites, its like 4-2. So, the answer will furthermore be 21.
Thats hilarious, im just kidding its 4. :)

Well I dont know anything about there being karma on factions but on forums, karma is basically how popular you are on the forums. If you look at someones post, youll notice that there is an option to like or dislike the post. If you like it, the persons karma will increase by 1. If you dislike it, it will decrease by 1

I believe that Applaud and Smite seems a bit confusing for the younger people. Therefore I made a slight modifications on forums, that it show "ONLY" applauds (likes). The term like and dislike, seems more appropriate for this age group.
