How to make money?

Everybody loves it, but not everybody can have it. Its money!!! Ive been told by someone that selling nether quartz was a great way to make a lot of money. Ive mined so much quartz in all, that Im the #2 miner in the whole server in like two and a half days playing here. It may seem like a lot to some, but Ive only gotten about $100k-$200k from all that. People in the /baltop have millions of dollars. Im just wondering how people get so much money? Mining quartz is good, but it isnt as good as some other peoples money strategies. What is the best was to make a lot of money on this server?
