I see this a bit hard to add in, I feel like I can PvP a bit better with 1.7.10.

Sadly I dont thin multi-version servers are possible. Plus, how is pvp much different?

No it isnt possible block hitting was a glitch you cant have a server where you fix a glitch for some players but not for others and if you joined in pre 1.8 the game couldnt process new blocks so the ones on 1.8 couldnt place those blocks along with all 1.8 mechanics

Anyways, CB is a 1.8 server

I think you are talking about lower versions.
If CB is in 1.7, 1.7+ players can join.
so now CB is in 1.8, 1.8+ players can join.
I dont think Siggi is going to downgrade the server.
